Artistic and Research Residency in Netherlands

The Hague Residency offers free accommodation, a €2,000 artist fee, €1,000 production budget, and travel support up to €750 for artists and researchers working in the fields of visual and multimedia arts.

According to Gallery Online, this international program welcomes artists and researchers interested in exploring social issues through multidisciplinary and artistic methodologies.

Conceptual Approach

The program supports the principle of “thinking through making”—that is, artistic or multi-modal practice is not viewed as a complement to knowledge production but

as a methodology for generating knowledge in itself. Artistic practice must have a strong relationship with research.
