The Seoul Metropolitan Government, in an effort to overcome the current spatial and functional limits of Gwanghwamun Square and to restore historical and cultural symbolism of Gwanghwamun area, is opening this international design competition. All experts or firms that are interested in this opportunity are strongly encouraged to register and submit a proposal.
Either an individual or a group of expert from the relevant fields such as urban planning/design, architecture, landscape architecture, road engineering or transportation engineering

1st prize (1 team): Contract Award for Design Development and Construction documentation + Honorarium 30,000,000 KRW
2nd prize (1 team): 80,000,000 KRW
3rd prize (1 teams): 60,000,000 KRW + Honorarium 30,000,000 KRW
4th prize (1 teams): 40,000,000 KRW + Honorarium 30,000,000 KRW
5th prize (1 teams): 20,000,000 KRW + Honorarium 30,000,000 KRW
Honorable mention (5 teams): Honorarium 30,000,000 KRW
