Call for bEam arts Artist Residency in Thessaloniki, Greece

This program provides dedicated studio space, collective support, technical and curatorial guidance, and a final exhibition, creating a professional environment for the development of artistic projects. Depending on their needs, artists may apply for either the “with accommodation” or “without accommodation” options. At the end of the residency, participants will have the opportunity to take part in a group exhibition, workshops, and even sell their works.

Eligible Disciplines

Visual arts, performance, design, photography, drawing, printmaking, painting, film, architecture, literature, media art, writing, curation, and other related fields.

Residency Periods for Winter/Spring 2026

  • January: 5 January – 2 February 2026
  • February: 4 February – 4 March 2026
  • March: 6 March – 5 April 2026
  • April–May: 7 April – 31 May 2026 (two consecutive months)

Facilities & Support

  • Private studio within a shared space with independent access
  • Fully equipped shared workshop
  • Mentoring in production, conceptual development, and technical aspects
  • Final group exhibition at bEam arts gallery
  • Guided visits to museums, galleries, and local studios in Thessaloniki
  • Possibility to propose site-specific projects, workshops, talks, and community engagement activities
  • Opportunity to sell artworks in the final exhibition

Costs

  • Application fee: Free
  • Residency with accommodation: €1850 per month
  • Residency without accommodation: €1000 per month
  • For two collaborating artists: an additional €150 fee

  • Selection of program: with/without accommodation (one or two months)
  • Artist statement (max. 250 words)
  • Project proposal (max. 250 words)
  • CV and portfolio with 5–10 works, including full details (title, medium, date, dimensions)
