چهاردهمين دوره دوسالانه گوانگجو، "نرم و ضعيف مانند آب" عنوان خود را از خطي در تائو ته چينگ با تاکيد بر ظرفيت آب براي نفوذ به چيزهاي به ظاهر غيرقابل نفوذ وام گرفته است.

به گزارش گالري آنلاين، اين نمايشگاه، که شامل ساختمان سالن اصلي نمايشگاه، چهار مکان ماهواره‌اي و 9 غرفه ملي ديگر است، ديدگاهي جهاني و در عين حال محلي را در مورد معناي هنر در زمان تعصب، تقسيم و درگيري خودکار و افزايش يافته ما پيشنهاد مي‌کند.

دوسالانه امسال با 79 هنرمند و گروه از کشورهاي عمدتاً غير غربي يا جهاني جنوبي، ديدگاهي از شيوه‌هاي هنري ارائه مي‌دهد که توسط ديدگاه غربي و اروپامحور ناديده گرفته شده‌اند.
