The THEATRICAL POSTERS International Biennale – Armenia, 2024 (TPAM) stands as a prestigious global platform inviting the creative submissions of artists, designers, theatres, theatre groups, and organizations from all corners of the world. This unique event celebrates the art of theatrical poster design, offering a broad stage for the exhibition of innovative and captivating visual representations of the performing arts. With categories spanning from traditional theatrical presentations, including spectacle, opera, and ballet, to broader performing arts such as music, dance, singing, and performance art, TPAM provides a comprehensive showcase of contemporary visual storytelling in the context of theatre and performance.

As an inclusive forum, TPAM welcomes submissions from individual designers and artists, as well as collectives, theatres, and organizations engaged in the performing arts sector. This initiative not only fosters global participation in the arts but also encourages a diverse range of creative expressions. Each participant is permitted to submit up to three posters that have been produced since May 2022, ensuring that the works presented are fresh and reflective of current trends and styles in theatrical poster design. The Biennale emphasizes the importance of originality and adherence to human rights, categorically excluding any submissions that contain hate speech or contradict the principles of human dignity.

Enhanced by a meticulous selection process, the entries submitted to the Theatrical Posters International Biennale Armenia 2024 are evaluated by a distinguished pre-selection committee, followed by an international jury composed of esteemed figures in graphic design and the arts. This rigorous evaluation ensures that only the most impressive works are showcased, culminating in a vibrant exhibition that highlights the dynamic interplay between visual art and the performing arts. The TPAM Biennale is not just an event but a beacon for artistic excellence, drawing attention from the global arts community and offering unparalleled exposure for participants. Eligibility


Open to all artists, designers, theatres/theatre groups, and organizations worldwide.

Prize


The international jury will award medals and diplomas for 1 Grand Prix and 2 The Best Poster awards. There will also be 2 Special Awards, 2 Honorable Mentions, and 3 Encouragement Certificates for self-promotion/rejected posters. Winners will receive a free hard copy of the catalogue, with the results announced in autumn 2024 during the opening ceremony in Yerevan. All shortlisted applicants will receive a digital certificate and PDF catalogue confirming their participation.
